Refrigerant in a properly working AC system never runs out β it cycles continuously in a sealed loop. If your gas is low, it means there is a leak somewhere. Many companies top up the gas and leave. Within 2β4 weeks the same problem returns, and you pay again. We find and fix the leak first, then refill β so the fix actually lasts.

Technician connects gauges to the service ports and reads system pressure. This confirms whether gas is actually low before anything else happens.
Electronic sniffer or UV dye used to locate the source of the leak. Minor leaks (valve cores, flare joints) are fixed on the spot. Major coil leaks are quoted separately.
For a complete recharge, the system is vacuumed to remove all moisture and air before new refrigerant goes in. Skipping this step causes compressor damage over time.
Correct amount of refrigerant added by weight β not just until pressure "looks right". Overcharging is as damaging as undercharging.
